Seems to be a few getting around these days but I couldn't find any threads full of super cool tow'd pictures.

Here is a pic of Lori Ann Darios from Big Bear along with two more behind it. The lady is my lovely wife, Barb.

Found in Texas. Believed to be a rare color
(Winnie said for a manx,more so for a Tow'd)

Yes very very rare. I see its Corvair powered too. I'm just checking something out, does your tag have DD after the 11E like this one?
This is a Tow'd I have, it raced in the 68 Baja 1000 and a few others

There is nothing after the 11E.
This pic is from the day it arrived.
I plan on doing a rebuild without the corvair and swing set up
later on .I've pulled engine and torsion out already.
The gel coat is exceptional.Old stickers are still there.
The gauge package had me stumped for a while. (kenworth)
Has the single handle up/down steering brake.

That fiberglass panel below the instrument panel has me puzzzled. Is that the front panel down by your feet? Tow'ds only came with a small metal instrument panel |

Its just an illusion from the camera straight on.
The dash must be custom but I have seen others like it in pics.
PO must have done the wood grain on laminate to go with the instruments.
At least thats what it feels like. |

I looked at it closer. It is made of 1/8 aluminum with a wood grain adhesive sheet covering it.
BL3manx what does DD at the end of the tag # stand for? |

DD = Daily Driver
With the dash I was talking about the purple gel coat it looks like it is right behind the "timber" dash |

I'm surprised these buggies never sold better back in the day. In my opinion, they were one of the better looking buggies.
Anybody know what happened to the molds after being briefly produced under the Sand Hopper name? _________________ 1800 Type 4 Berrien 295

Here's mine. I bought it about a month ago. I'm just learning my way around it! Once I trust it, it should be a ton of fun. Previous owner made custom doors, top and side curtains. I'm looking to change out the exhaust. Any suggestions/pics?
