|
|
Reference picture (not mine)
Some time back there was an ad here by someone in The Netherlands selling all the replacement parts for the '1/4 ton' size Westphalia trailer. I'd thought I bookmarked it for reference but can't find the bookmark or any such ad today.
There exists a website for CAJ-Ersatzteile that shows a parts list at
http://www.caj-ersatzteile.de/Download/E-artikelliste.html
including the CELLASTO spring units I require. Does anyone have a diagram that calls out the parts this trailer uses? Or any better suggestion? |

Let's bump this thread until someone responds.
I'm in the same boat, my bookmark went away in a system crash. Before that I'd been trying to make replacements out of radiator hose filled with Silly Putty, but I found out it would shatter under the stress.
Maybe an airbag from someone else? |

ToolBox -- Thanks. Since I posted I had emailed a random vendor in NL, and BASF North America.
But I'll go with your suggestion. Do you think the 400kg or 6/800kg version would be most appropriate?
Edit: Never mind—400kg is 881lb. |

Globusoverland is one of the NL sellers that has parts and trailers new and used at any given time. He is a great resource for people stateside with Essen trailers.
Mike R is the owner of that westfalia trailer site posted: http://www.westytrailers.com/en/axles-chassis
And has ads on the samba as well.
I have made the big Westfalia sticker for the back of the Essen and can sell a few. I have 10 or 20 cant remember. Just let me know. _________________

Oh and this info is going to die with you guys that recently posted. Because the thread is spelled wrong - Westphalia and not Westfalia |
Wow, look how the spelling in the topic has magically changed! _________________

Any pointers for removing the wheel mounting from the axle? Is it as easy as removing the outer bolt and pulling? _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

I saw a cotter pin listed on the westfalia trailer site so was curious... _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.
