Thing all the way. We have a lot of Tesla Roadsters and the bigger Tesla S up here in Seattle as well. Nothing beats a classic! _________________ http://das-auto-66vw.tumblr.com/ |

My wife thinks the Model S looks too much like a Camry to be a supercar. For 100K and that kind of performance, she thinks it ought to be swoopier. |

Glad someone is feelin' the SCUMDOG way.
Dave was actually very political in his act, but had to disguise it with comedy.
He was on the level of George Carlin....but with a much shorter life span. |

The Tesla is just a VW, with a thicker pan......
Just learn how to do coachwork & make that skateboard look like something that makes your wife wet. |

I saw their first show after their loss. They did a mighty tribute.
I dont know if any of you have any connection to children's cartoons, but here's some trivia: GWAR did the music for this bit "secretly"

Yeah, I heard they did some epic tribute shows & a barbeque...none were even close to the west coast though
I like me some goofy kids shows sometimes....but only if I'm high.
I don't smoke now, do'h !...so I missed that one. Pretty cool though.
Reminds me of "Meat Sandwich"

You know what was trippy though...... ?
After all the GWAR talk, this episode aired.
Swear to GWAR.

in another 40 years (if it makes it that long) the Tesla will have the same cool factor the Thing does now, however the Thing will have another 40 years of cool amassed... _________________ '65 Karmann Ghia 'vert

The first time I saw a Tesla I was thought it was a sweet ride, I actually thought it was a Lotus Exige from the back and at a distance. They are becoming more common in my area and Tesla is installing recharge stations at the local mall. I like what Tesla represents though.
With that being said, I see a Thing everytime I open my garage door but I'd spaz if I saw another on the road - especially if I were in my Thing. |

I'm sure some jackass company like KIA will buy them out & part out everything but the name.
Mr. Fusion can't save Tesla Motors.....unless they buy the new DMC.

Really ? The first time I saw one, I was like " Cool Maserati body kit on that Ford Taurus.
They are horrible cars from a styling standpoint.
Technologically, pretty impressive.
Let's start putting 181 bodies on Tesla chassis to improve their hipster appeal. |

Would you say the same thing about a Ferrari California? Cause I just saw one of THOSE on the road yesterday, and thought "Holy SH@*$ that car is so F(@#)%@ awesome!!!"
I guarantee you, post this question ANYWHERE other than a VW site, and you'll be deflated by the response. Also applies to "do women like aircooled VWs?" _________________ I'm the humblest guy on this board.

Actually, yeah...it's just the inevitable evolution of the Modena.
Yeah, it's a good looking car, but it's just another Ferrari.
The LaFerrari is on top of it's game though.
Oh, I know. The general public also isn't just a bunch of car designers.
I just feel we live in a time when doing the same thing year to year & pushing the same "jellybean" designs just doesn't cut it anymore.
Remember the late 50s & early 60s when the major American manufacturers had all new bodies for the reveal every year ? Those were the days.
Since the subject has moved to the "supercar", howsabout a couple Hypercars pushing the limits of style & technology.
