I bought an EMPI GT wheel without a horn button. Not a good idea, but I ended up getting a really nice horn after 6, 7 months of searching ...by buying another steering wheel Embarassed Lucky none of them cost too much.
So I still needed another button to complete the first wheel and last night I bought and drove out to pick up another horn button. Its different but I bought it anyway. It does not use the alum ring like on the other button I have. I was only familiar with the button with seperate spring, metal cap....but the one I got last night is all self contained in the horn button. The hub for the one I got last night is for a early fat spline shaft. The one i was familiar with fits the shaft in my car. Anyone know what I bought? Is it a real EMPI GT? It does not look like repop buttons ive seen. lines are very sharp. On the back it looks like it says A1C or AR and 6055898. Here are some pics Thanks for the help.

Thanks Pink, makes sense. I may have to make a call to the guy that sold me an "original GTV" button. are these buttons still repoped? I see plenty of flat4GTV, ISP...but not ones that have EMPI GT.

Thanks Lids, I've seen those. More specifically was wondering if FLat4 still repoped buttons that had EMPI GT on them. These are what i see now

Im going to hit the seller up for a refund. Either way maybe someone else may find this thread while searching and see the difference. Surprised

FLat 4 never repoped any EMPI logo. It is copyrighted. Thats why their stuff always says flat 4.

Back to square one?
This one says EMPI GT, not Flat4 GT.

If I google image the info on back of it (ARCorp 6055898) ISP button shows up as one result. Maybe ISPWest made "EMPI GT" .
