Can anyone tell me if I need to adjust original carbs (28 pci) to use them on a dual carb Riechert kit?
I bought them seperatly and mounted them with the Riechert linkage and manifolds. Now the engine won't start

I would think they need to be gone through rebuilt and re-jetted.

If you bought two carbs that were used in single carb applications then each would have jets to supply enough fuel and air for 4 cylinders each. Now you have each carb only supplying 2 cylinders. So I would assume they would be running very rich as they are.

a little late here, but "making the Volkswagen go" lists the jetting for twin 28PCI's on an express twin carb kit on a 36hp as:

venturi 21.5mm
main jet 105
air correction 200
idle 50
idle air bleed 1.2
E tube 8
acc pump per stroke
.25 to .30cc

not exactly what you need, but it might point you in the right direction.

Hi to everyone
I am trying to find out the right configuration for dual Solex PCI with 23.5 venturis for my 36 hp.

I don t want an engine for races but a good engine i can use at week end, at low, middle and little high RPM sometimes only.

My project is a 36 hp with 77 mm domed pistons, compression ration 8:0, Heads with 3 angle valve, original 64 mm crank, lightened flywheel, Denzel Full Flow Canister, high volume pump, 010 Bosch, Retwish intake manifolds with dual PCI.

Is anyone knows the right jets configuration i must have for dual PCI with 23.5 venturis for my engine ?
