As aluded to - all depends on how heavy your foot is. I average 25 mpg combined in my WRX. But once I drove a couple hours at 55 on the highway and got well over 30. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

What I never understood, you are going from 50hp to 150hp (building a hot rod) and worried about mileage?....

Mine is daily driven, I've got over 4 years worth of fuel usage data but it consistently averages 8.5L/100kms which is 27.7mpg (33.3mpg UK) with my day to day running around.
The engine is modded and not stock though.
It gets down to 7.2L/ 32.2mpg with highway cruising but best I've ever got was 6.6L/ 35.7mpg
It would get better if I drove more sensibly but with that sort of power on tap its easier said than done.
A/C is on pretty well all year round but doesnt seem to have any impact on mileage.
The car is also a lot heavier than regular Supers with all the extra crap I;ve got in it (252lb over stock) _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

What mods do you have done to your 2.5? Also do they have good hp gains over stock? |

Nothing too exciting, just bumped the CR up and and fuel system upgrades - bigger injectors, Turbosmart adjustable FPR etc
I drove it stock for the first 10K before doing all that and it did really wake it up but it has to run on premuim now which is no biggy.
My Subi guy did also have some STi pistons we were gonna swap in but was a lot of hassle just for some extra strength I dont really need. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

Is yours a 2 liter? I used to get high teens daily driving and as high as 24MPG on long freeway runs, but that was in a 3,300lb all-wheel drive car with 4.44 final drive ratio with EJ255.

Nope its a 2.5 but it's running the management from my original 2.2 to get away from all the Can-bus, flybywire etc electrical crap. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?
