While accelerating, my 68 Beetle's engine will "pause" for a split second and then continue to accelerate and then "pause" again for another split second. What would be causing this to happen? Valves, Carburetor, Timing..... _________________ 1968 Type 1 - Royal Red --- Built: September, 1967

Hello
Tell more bout the engine. size, carb type, distributor type/numbers on it, state of tune on the engine as well. With that some written assistance will show up. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

After checking for the part numbers I discovered that the bolt attaching the carb to the intake manifold had become loose, causing a vacuum leak. Thanks for your help! _________________ 1968 Type 1 - Royal Red --- Built: September, 1967
