|

Does anyone remember a 69 squareback from late 80s maybe early 90s that was pink with silver flames? So cal area. This car is for sale near me and we went and looked at but its basically a rolling shell now. 90% of the paint is sanded off but I can see 1 fender and make out the flames. The current owner (about 3 owners since the builder) was told it was in the magizine.
Just wondering if this sounds familure and if anyone had picture of it. Has white seats with pink centers on 8 spokes.
Thanks! |

I grew up in OC. I remember this car. Any current pictures? My 64 square that I rolled in back in 88-90 was prosche rasberry with matching riverias. I remember parking next to this square at the OC fair grounds. |

It's in sad shape I didn't take any pics while I was there. But get past the ugly the body was still straight no rust and fairly complete just taken all apart. If I decide well if y son decides he wants it we get pick it up and post pics. I really want to see a pic of it in its glory days. |

Cool 1st car, and a great incentive for him to keep his grades up. I wish my dad had done that for me, but, I had to go back and do that on my own (with my wife pushing me to do it ).
But, I think I might have seen some pics of it at some Cali shows in the past. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Braeden did a little work on his car. got rid of the 8 spokes and put on these early riviera wheels and new tires. sits much better.

Only 13 and he has his first vw, the car is registered and legit now. Had to take it to AAA since it was out of the system and needed a vin verification. So just need to dump a bunch of time and money into her and it will be all good.
The deal is every dollar he puts in i match. Grandma gave him $1000 to get started. I told him when that runs out ill start pitching in haha.

If he is fiscally invested in the project, he will take great care after it is done. Great job! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

I could not agree more!! I beat on my dad's cars, but I never beat mine,. . . nearly as hard. I had to pay for everything on mine. Having skin in the game makes all the difference. _________________ Regards,

Good job! My dad gave me his (non-running) Squareback when I was a freshmen in high school and I finally got it running when I was a senior. There were a lot of birthdays and Christmas' where I only asked for car parts. LOL. _________________ Joe P.
