|
|
Hi,
I've searched the internet and can find nothing.
Does anyone know how common a 28 PICT SOLEX/Bendix-Tecnica is in Australia?
I can find nothing online regarding SOLEX's relationship with Bendix-Tecnica or during what years these carbs were made.
Any help from down under would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I wish I had some info for you, but I've never come across any documentation about those carbs. Someone once sent me some photos of an Aussie 30PICT-1 (a 1300 version lacking the power fuel system), so I know they exist, but the specifications and history on these I do not know. |

There's a guy from Australia who use to be more active on this board. IN2VWS was his name on this board. He had amazing amounts of documentation on VW's, especially Australia VW information.
You might look him up and PM him. He might has some info in his massive collection. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

I don't know much about individual older carb models - I'm more of a late model/modified/twin-carb feller - but yeah Bendix would have made these 'Solex' carbies under license.
Because in the 1960s we MADE VWs in Australia... not just assembled
What do you need to know? |

Thanks, all.
I will try to contact IN2VWS.
VWCOOL, I'm just curious if this 28 PICT Made in Australia is rare or very common, as I'd never seen one before nor since. _________________ 1965 Microbus Kombi |

They were common in wreckers/breakers yards about 20 years ago! |
