Porsche 912 Hockey Puck Horn Install

I twisted off my old hockey puck horn that had some damage from my Porsche 912. I purchased another original hockey puck horn to replace this with.

When I removed the old one, a small spring came out. Where should this spring go?

To re-install, do I simply twist the item back in place. Do I need to align it? Is there anything else that needs to be done.

Also, how is the physical connection to the horn made, since there was no wiring in this area when I removed the old one.
