How do you press zero?
I have a house full of rotaries. Mom worked for Bell when it was still a monopoly.
I do have a I-Phone6 on preorder. I do love my 5s _________________ "Depression is a malfunction of the instrument we use to determine reality.”

Got mine today. It's huge. The build quality is nice, and it's faster than my 5. I'm going to play with it over the weekend before I decide to put it on eBay or not. |

After owning a BlackBerry Bold, an iPhone 4, and an iPhone 5 over a stretch of several years, I just moved from the iPhone 5 to a Galaxy S5 Active. They are/were all good devices for different reasons. IMHO, the chasm of difference between them isn't nearly as wide as either side portrays it to be, and it seems to be closing all the time. With each evolution, they get closer to each other.
Don't believe the hype from either side. _________________ Mike

It's huge. It works how apple products always work. It's bigger, faster, and has a new OS that feels completely normal. Is it worth the hype or standing in line for 3 days, no. Is it worth getting if you are an apple user and want something bigger and faster, yes |

News today reporting complaints of I phone case "bending".
Seems to be mainly males who play pocket pool in the front pocket..
Does that count?

Yeah bend you're phone and it breaks, pretty simple.
Typing on an iPhone 6 right now. Switched from the the biggest android phone I could find and have not been happier. The 8th installment of iOS is the best to date. My android out of the box was freezing and needed restarted in the first hour. The iPhone screen is so responsive compared to the LG and Samsung. |

Apple yanks iOS 8 update after crippling iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Apple today released, then quickly pulled, its first update for iOS 8 after customers flooded its support forum with reports that their iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphones could no longer connect to a cellular network. |

iPhones are so silly.
Even when they were originally released, there really wasn't anything groundbreaking about it in my opinion. I went from Windows Mobile 5.5 to an iPhone, and besides the clean GUI, it was a pile of shit. Couldn't even do half the stuff my WinMo HTC Apache could do, and no cut/copy/paste, are you kidding me?!
The problem is that the Apple loyal (very generally speaking) remain willfully ignorant of the facts. They were not the first to make a touch-screen smartphone, no where close to it. They sell their products because the people who buy in to the false hype just want to look cool and trendy (again, generally speaking).
It's all smoke and mirrors, like Glenn has stated. Bending phones and crippling updates would cause huge uproars from users of any other phone, but Apple-loyal will just turn a blind eye and take it up the butt, not willing to admit they overpaid for a sub-standard experience.
For the record, I have two Androids that run "Vanilla" software. No carrier bloat. My Nexus devices get their updates instantly, and contrary to what's been mentioned in this thread, operate flawlessly with other devices and PCs through Google Drive and BT connectivity.
My phone does not crash, nor does my tablet. They "just work", perform better, and cost a fraction of the fruity competition.
Of course, most of this is just my opinion, based on years of first-hand experience with technology and end-users. |

of course, maybe I'm just a picky apple snot head, but i went for a few years using M/S and i had more blue screens of death than i care to explain, even with "security" Now that Ive seen the Light of Apple. I can watch while those same types of sites I've always visited cry in frustration because all they do is slow me down until I get board and leave. Haven't lost precious family pictures or files thanks to Apple. _________________
