|
|
Yesterday, I went to look at a Kellison buggy body (manx style). It sits about 10 minutes from my house. The reason I am posting here is because I AM NOT selling it. It is in AMAZING shape. It really doesn't need anything to prep for paint. I could find NO cracks, its straight, no missing pieces. I am hoping someone from here may be interested. I would be OK with picking it up if someone were seriously interested. He is asking $225. I would rather see this go to someone that is actually going to use it. Its a GREAT deal!! I am including the CL listing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I was thinking on buying it myself, but honestly, I am a few weeks out from having any money a new project going until this winter. Here is the link to the CL ad.

Dagnabbit... I was just in Syracuse visiting family. For $225, it would be worth holding onto for a while. |

Good clean body, BUT does not look like my Kellison (Sandpioer Roadster) or any Kellison's I have seen....
Yes I see Kellison logo on dash.... Hmmmm...

Yeah i know it's an oddball. I just don't want to see it trashed. It also has the logo molded into the rear panel. Its Honestly nice than the pictures show |

That is the same body style as the first buggy my Dad built in 1970. We drove to Kellison's place in Lincoln, CA since it was only about 20 miles away.
Kellison Body was cheap (a blemish one). I remember the body its self was less than a $100.
As a kid had a lot of fun with it. It was not until later I could see how cheap it was made compared to others. At the time it did not matter, we had a dune buggy and it was cool.
I cannot remember (and cannot ask as both Mom and Dad are gone) what the name was of the body.
Still have same chassis with different body on it. That my Dad and cousin in the buggy.

The front looks like a Sandpiper Pickup, but its obviously not a pickup. Was that an SP-1? |

yeah its basically just up the road from me. the body is perfect and straight. the dash's perimeter framing is there, but the center portion will have to be repaired. its basically non-existant. BUT, for the money, its nothing an aluminum plate wont fix |
