|
|
2006 Jetta
Passenger front Window went down, now won't go up.
- Tried from Drivers side switch
- Tried from Passenger side switch
- Tried with key in Drivers door to roll up all windows and set alarm.
All the above did not raise the window.
Put on scanner and got the following codes:
00933
01035
What do they mean?
Before I rip it apart, any tips? Much appreciated.

Does the back lighting in the switches on the door still work? The most common failure is a wire or 2 breaking inside the ribbed boot between the body and the door. It's possible to patch the harness, but a real pain to work in those tight quarters. The lasting repair is to replace the door harness. _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

All back lighting on the switches work. I'm going to try replacing the switch to see if that works.

Replaced the switch and that wasn't the problem. I brought the car to Foreign Car Werks in Bound Brook, NJ. Jeffrey, the mechanic, proceeded to find the problem- a broken wire in the passenger door that fried the motor. A new motor from VW is on order and will be replaced next week. In the meantime Jeffrey raised the window so I can still use the car until then. Thanks guys!

The rubber boot between the a pillar and the door where the wires go through, open the boot and check the wires to see if the wires have broken from normal use of the door. Its a common problem with the Mark 5 Jetta. _________________ Master Tech at Team Volkswagen

Wires were all good in the boot. There was a broken wire behind the door panel.

Fried the motor. Had to order a new one. I will install next week and let you know if it works.
