Stupid me forgot to mark the colored wires before I disconnected the old coil.
The left side is + and the right is -
Thanks!

On the + (#15 terminal) side you should have the :
black incoming ignition wire that provides 12v+
black output wire that powers the choke and idle cutoff solenoid
black output wire that goes to fuse holder and reverse lights
On the - (#1 terminal) there should be the green wire from the points/condenser. If you have a tachometer, it will also connect here. Nothing else should connect here or it will short the ignition circuit.
There might be a diagnostic wire that connects here, but since the diagnostic plug is no longer used it is not needed. _________________ AshMan40

fuel injected do also have an extra wire on the negative low tension side which runs to the ECU _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

Running rough with the new coil. Anyone know if the ecu needs time after the coil is replaced? _________________ 78 convertible |

Ashman you say later models had a diagnostic wire to the negative side of the coil. My 73 standard has a white with green tracer wire connected to the negative side would this be the diagnostic wire? |
