Stupid me forgot to mark the colored wires before I disconnected the old coil.

The left side is + and the right is -

Thanks!

On the + (#15 terminal) side you should have the :
black incoming ignition wire that provides 12v+

black output wire that powers the choke and idle cutoff solenoid

black output wire that goes to fuse holder and reverse lights

On the - (#1 terminal) there should be the green wire from the points/condenser. If you have a tachometer, it will also connect here. Nothing else should connect here or it will short the ignition circuit.
There might be a diagnostic wire that connects here, but since the diagnostic plug is no longer used it is not needed.

fuel injected do also have an extra wire on the negative low tension side which runs to the ECU

Running rough with the new coil. Anyone know if the ecu needs time after the coil is replaced?

Ashman you say later models had a diagnostic wire to the negative side of the coil. My 73 standard has a white with green tracer wire connected to the negative side would this be the diagnostic wire?

On '73 standard that white with green tracer on negative side of the coil goes to diagnostic point 13
