For as active as the samba is, not a lot of people really post much. It seems like nobody is watching your updates but a ton of people are. I dig your bus. Sorry about your arm, I hope it heals well and quickly. I'm amazed you got the gas tank in and out with the engine in using one arm, that is impressive! I have trouble with the engine out and a helper with me.

Thank YOU brotha!!! It really means ALOT to ME Very Happy !!!!

Laughing keeping it 6volt TO ME was part of the old time over all feel I want every trip I take to be like I stepped back in 1964 ..lol that's why I am VERRRRY CAREFUL about what I replace or re-do making sure I don't take away any of IT'S CHARM not saying if there is a BIG RUST HOLE that I don't fix it! Very Happy SURE I could spend $$$ to make it "like new" new paint, new this and that..but haven't you guys ever ben to a VW show and see a "like new bus " and passed it up to go look at the ORIGINAL banged up or roughed up bus? You will have to stitch where the back bottom rod goes and put in rods and wire.

The name reminded me of this movie from the 1980's.
