So the PO removed all the preheat flaps and stock manifold for preheat, needless to say the Thing has issues in the Midwest. I also see he welded close the preheat connections on the exhaust. So after looking into buying a new exhaust and manifold I decided to just buy dual 40 IDF instead.
I am going to drop the engine to install warming flaps and a thermostat back into the doghouse so I wanted to install the duals at the same time.
My question is will the engine go back in with the carbs completely installed ? Any issues to be aware of ?

Here is what mine looks like before it went into the thing. You can see how wide it is with the carbs on. Thanks to Ohio Style Garage for the rebuild and install.
