68 bay bus. The passenger door won't open because it's stuck at locked. The pin you would use (on the door/window ledge) is missing. It seems to be missing some internal part....looks like a rod that would be attached to the interior as well as the lock mechanism to make it work? What is the name of it so I can find one? Thank you!!!!

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing Laughing thats cold--funny but Embarassed Think you'll find when going back thru her other post, they have the books, but much like cooking, It would take me a while to make pancakes- just can't get the water right, how much salt- really Question Question Question Rolling Eyes ;

Get inside the bus and remove the door panel and start pulling on rods- it will open- then using the book you just bought figure out what you need.

AS you can see- there are a few parts involved so a good pic and a willingness to do some research on your own will get you more complete answers.

So lets start with the basics- what year are we talking about and model do you have. Do we get a pic of the problem? worth a thousand convoluted descriptions.[/img]

Sounds to me like she is missing the lock pin and rod, if it is a true 68 with 68 only doors.

If your bus is a honest 68, there is a ton of 1 year only parts

Yes!! Locking rod Smile
Thank you for not just sending links...that other guy did that on my other post too. To him: I have the books....several. Just not savvy enough to figure it out. That's kind of why these forums are helpful; someone with more knowledge is always willing to help. If you don't want to help, but just make someone feel stupid....move on.

Send Ken at http://www.thebusco.com/ an e-mail, he might have some. I don't see anything on his site though.

Or email http://www.airheadparts.com/ they have used parts.

Thank you so much. Luckily I'm not in a hurry. I have until next March for the finished bus. It's for my daughter. I'll send him an email.
