Any special trick to the install of the 3 piece manifolds.

Just came in and if seems that there should be some sealant or something when you install the preheater tubes into the manifold.

Anyone install one of these and have any issues

(Huge holes in both sides of the org...pretty nasty looking and I have never seen this on any VWs before)

No sealant needed... It's not pressurized, just warm air getting wafted up to the manifold base...they don't comingle with the intake air at all...
. Very basic system of preheat right there! Lol Wink

I believe the risers twist in and form their own tight fit anyway...

One could use a dab of high temp rtv, if it'd make ya feel better... Not gonna hurt. Wink

The temps are probably high enough to kill the high temperature silicone. I would suggest JB Weld instead.
