I purchased this oval window after having been in the vw seen for 20 years. I thought I had seen everything....
This car has more parts on it that have raised questions for me then ever before.
It has steel 15 inch VW stamped and date coded Riveted smooth wheels.
It has a very nice original cloth interior.
It has Belgium glass stamps that also say Securit
The front beam has what looks like an original sway bar
It has what I've seen called chevron tail lights
The more I look this car over the more interesting questions I have. Are there more things I should look for that would make this car a Belgium car.
The vin and all date stamps on the parts are for March 56 except the beam which is a month or two earlier.
Were these cars assembled in Belgium, if so that would explain the absence of the Made in West Germany badge.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Coolrydes!
congralutations on your find! try to get the wolfsburg certificate, there you will find information to wich country the car was going too. no old belgium newspapers or something left in the car?

I know about the birth cert, and the windows actually have Belgium right on the glass
