I have owned two 73 Things over the years and on both the Thermo Switch would cut the heater off intermittently when the thermostat was set to a low heat output. I have always found this to be annoying and have wanted to try to eliminate the cutting out. On inspecting the Thermo Switch I saw that there is an adjusting screw pretty well hidden on the back of it, but it can be accessed in situ (barely) with my shortest stubby screwdriver. I found that turning the screw counter clockwise lowers the temperature that the switch operates at and that with some experimentation I could adjust the switch to where the heater keeps running with the thermostat knob pushed all the way in. Note that part of the job of the Thermo Switch is to keep the fan running to cool down the heater after you shut the heater off so if you turn the adjusting screw CCW too far it will not shut the heater off. The adjustment here is fairly precise, a quarter turn too far and the heater may not shut off after it cools.
