Upper and lower ball joints installs from the top as Beetles has one up, one down. |

I don't know if this will help...or not, but mine have
T6
12
cast in.
Maybe this comparison photo from the gallery will help:
Good luck, Mondshine |

Hmmm....I thought I heard that you could put thing spindles onto a bug.....is this not the case? I'm wanting some raised spindles for my '70 chassis (onto which a repro Kubelwagen is setting).
thanks,

I think you will need Thing trailing arms and Thing ball joints to make it work.
I'm not sure about the torsion springs' interchangeability.
Good luck, Mondshine |

The proper way is to use thing arms, but the other way is to flip the bottom arms from side to side. That way the bottom ball joints both point downwards. Then you use Thing lower ball joints in the flipped arms.
Also they aren't rare, but they are not common. Good luck.

Here is what the other side looks like, note how much room there is for the downward facing ball joints.

Just take your bug arms and install the balljoints the correct way to fit in the Thing spindles. The only difference between bug and Thing arms is there is a slightly thicker wall on the arms on Thing. |
