Oh k-rap. I hope I didn't screw this up too bad. Subject is new floor pans. When I was prepping them I removed the entire jack support (this is for a convertible, so the vert support rail has a jack insertion point in it and the jack support that comes on the new floor pan interferes with the vert support rail). Then I went back and reviewed the Bug Me video and I noticed that they only cut about three inches off the end of the jack support that was welded to the new floor pans and left the rest of the jack support still welded to the new pans.

SO, does anyone know if I have to weld the jack support back onto the new pans and cut off the end like on Bug Me videos, or does the jack point that's in the convertible support rail have enough strength to support the car by itself when it's jacked up? Thanks for any help.

You should be fine. If you have any holes from removing the jack mounts, you'll have to fill them in.

Thanks Bob. I do have a couple small holes from chiseling off the jack support from the new floor pans, but I figured I'd weld them shut. They're only about a quarter inch or so.
