So my friend has had this for some years now, and no one has been able to identify what it is. Figured I'd post it up here for fun to see if anyone has any clue.
It weighs 2lbs 5oz's, is metal, and appears to possibly have been gilded and/or painted at some point.
Anyone?

Scale of some sort?, does it almost balance at either of those holes? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

that's what im thinking...just cant figure out what 'style' or 'type' it is.
If you look carefully you can see there are rivets holding the 3 pieces together... (the center section, and the 2 domed skins).
I don't see how it can be part of a weathervane, its heavy and not an effiecient design to catch wind IMO.
Not an absinthe spoon, googled those, its way too big and nothing like any antique spoon. Those have grates/holes in them to allow the absinthe to poor through.
I'm going to try putting it on Reddit to see if I can get any clues too... _________________ 1957 Beetle

I ran it by the Mrs. She said it's, "Positively naughty" then took a shower. Can I rent it? _________________
