Well me being me, I finally got the owners to sell. I have been trying to get this car for a few years and the owners finally said yes. This is how it sat when I got it home in my garage. It appeared to have the wrong doors, (67) seats, (67)Rear bumper, deck lid, rear apron, rear fenders, (aftermarket)front drivers fender, and hood. Some of which I took care of and some will follow later.
Rear end shot with all the parts it came with
I picked up a correct W deck lid from a friend, thanks Rick.
After some inspecting it seems someone over the years drilled an extra hole for bigger tail lights........they have to go. My snowflake housings cover the extra hole and they are the correct fenders.
It appears to have had a repair at some point and time.
Picked up the correct doors from another friend in town. Now I have to fix that dent sometime.
This is probably how the car will sit for a while until I get my son's car going and then the fun will begin. |

Looks like a solid car, no big rust issues?
When I bought my oval in 1990, I put it together and drove it a week after I bought it, and have driven it since . Looked like this in 91:
After a year and a half I painted it.

There are no major rust issues I have found. One is on the bottom of the left heater channel under the jack point. It is only the bottom though so I will most likely just use a patch panel for it.
It isn't a sticker it is an Independent tin sign.........but yeah its pretty big. |
