Punk Rock isn't dead;
I think the essentials though are The Adicts, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, D.R.I, Bad Brains, Germs, Subhumans and Agent Orange. And so on. _________________ Wash your hands

Since I was 13 and I'm 42 now. Was a perfect fit growing up doing everything goofy footed. Gets me just as pumped today as it did when I was 13. |

You can go to the local Mall and get hair dye, Dr. Martins, shirts, belts, etc. I've also seen plenty of basic, uptight suburban parents giving their kids mohawks when they themselves went out of their way to avoid anyone like that in grade school.
Dead? Maybe not, but it sure as hell doesn't have the same edge to it that it did 25 to 30 years ago. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

And it got too accessible. Thanks Green Day, Offspring, 182, Brett Gurewitz and his Label. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Tell that to the kids that thought they were in the early 90's. Even one of my favorite bands NOFX, turned to crap around 1990. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Not a huge modern punk fan myself, but tell me "My Generation" by the Who isn't punk..... Anyway - my ex son-in-law was a partner is a recording studio until a year or two ago....They had been doing a LOT of punk recording as well as putting on quite few punk shows.
But then I started getting lost with all the catagories of music he would talk about...Like "post-punk indie hip-hop" and stuff like that.... _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.
