I need a pair of doors for my '67 Squareback.
The doors I have found are several hours away and I'm going by pics only. They are in good shape, but I have heard that '67 doors are different in some way. I know that they radically changed in '68, and these are definitely early doors, with old style door handles, but what are the differences, if any between , say, a '66 and '67 door?
I can see that the lock button at the top rear is not there on the replacement doors, but I can add that if everything else will work.
I have been told that the hinge is different. Is this the case? If so, what is different? Can I knock out the hinge pin and use my door pillar side hinges? Or is the hinge that is welded on the door itself different as well?
I am not too up on Type IIIs, and I'd really appreciate some info so I can decide whether or not to buy these doors.

Squarebacks to to mid '66 & all notchbacks had 3 bolt hinges & won't fit on a '67 square with 2 bolt hinges. The hinges are welded on and can't be easily changed, so don't buy doors with 3 bolt hinges!

67 has a lock button at the back of the glass on 67 only doors. 68 had it but the outer door handles changed along with the door panels.

I'm near Wheeling WV.
If the hinge pins are knocked out of the hinges on these 65-66 doors, can I then use my 2 bolt hinge from the old (existing '67) doors on the car side of the hinge pin to bolt them to my pillar?
Or are the hinges that are welded on the door in a different location? I have nothing to compare to here.
Thanks,
Greg

Yep-essentially a one year only door.

The door skin and structures are pretty much the same with the acceptions of the latch hole by the glass but i couldn't say with 100% certainty that the pins and hing would just swap out (my luck is the hinges would be bad). One other thing on the 61-66 doors is that there latches tend to go out and are expensive to get when you need them. 67 is a one year only latch but they are stronger and are the same as 67 bug.
