Is there a good or easy way to remove the stub axle from the trailing arm?
I have new wheel bearings and outer and inner seals, I don't have a new spacer sleeve for either side.
I don't have a press either.
What is the best method of removing these items from the trailing arm?
Should I undertake this prior to removing the arm from the car?
Thanks a million. _________________ '74 Thing [Fritz]

it has been a while since i was down that road.
you can do it easily while arm is on the car. you will need
snap ring pliers. no need for a press. dig out all the grease. there should be a snap ring buried in there that keeps things from coming apart.
there is a exploded diagram out there. just cannot put hands on it at this moment |

I have the diagram. The snap ring is on the side of the bell housing CV side, so do I just pop it with a rubber mallet? _________________ '74 Thing [Fritz]
