yea i will let you know as soon as i get it setup. if i notice any performance loss the muffler will be going to my soon to be father in law for his truck and i will be getting a new one. hopefully it works though as i hope to have it back on the road by wednesday. just picked up a 50A toggle for the electric fan, some large crimp connectors for the altenator, some hose to run to my coolant overflow tank that i still need to find one of whenever i find time to hit a junkyard. might be able to find something laying around the garage that will work.

We must have different cooling system because mine doesn't use an expansion tank. I'm really curious on how the Thrush will sound. My little baffled arrestor is not too bad. It muffles the sound just enough to not be annoying.

mine does not have an overfill currently i am installing one because i have an overfill post on my in line filler on my radiator. so as it gets warm it shoots the coolant out of the barbed fitting. so i am being proactice with it so it will just pull it back into the radiator as it cools back down.

Gotcha, my tube runs to the ground and so far no fluid has come out after a full day of riding.

I am hoping that my motor is just in need of some back pressure because it does not run well at low RPMs at all. whether accellerating or on take off. I am going to talk to Chris about it. it almost acts like the Carb needs to be rejetted. (seems to be almost flooding out)

Yeah talk to Chris ASAP. They ran these motors with open headers so back pressure should not be an issue. I heard that down draft intakes are a bit more finicky to get right.

I would leave it there so he can get the bugs out. When he built mine, I left him with enough race fuel for him to figure out the bugs.

I like. That might be the type of muffler I get. You got so much room back there! So different than how mine will look.

Not to hijack this thread, but if I could go back to this for a moment...

Van, the one in that video with stock tin wouldn't be cool. It would put the exhaust right in front of the fan.

Brian, I found a picture of some mystery guys rail that has the same header and heater box set up as I do. What do you think about the proximity of the exhaust to the air intake? Sorry, this was the only picture I could find. One straight from the back would have been much better, but this is all I got. It appears there was more space to breath than I initially thought.
