Though I've never dealt with them, MOFOCO 414-963-1020 is not only supposed to have an exceptional, well built product, but will stand by their builds.

Not a good idea to be recommending people you've never dealt with, especially to someone who could not easily ship an engine back if there were an issue. Brothers VW, Aircooled.net and DRD have an EXCELLENT standing in the air cooled VW community. Stay away from GEX and other "infamous" companies with similar reputations.

Hello. I ship engines, transmissions and cylinder heads to over 50 countries throughout the world. I don't think I've sent one to Honduras yet though. If you would like to write me direct [email protected], I can get you a quote for the engine and shipping. We test run our engines for 4-6 hours and video them to send you through email. We break in the cam and lifters, adjust the valves, set the timing and also the carb adjustments. We make sure the engine also has good oil pressure and no leaks.

My buddy in Hong Kong had to wait YEARS to get his engine from DRD. In the end it took many nasty emails to get action.

Have you heard of Mario Posada in San Miguel, El Salvador? He can build you an engine that you can pick up in person.
Here's his email:

When I was in C.A. last year, the VW guys were telling me that engine numbers are on your car's title. And if your engine doesn't match your title, the cops will take your car. If this is the way it is done in Honduras, it would be very wise to get your original engine rebuilt.
