|
|
I've got a 2003 VW Beetle 2.0L manual transmission that I picked up a couple months ago. After driving it for 50 miles the check engine light when on. I scanned it with a VAG-COM and got the codes below.
I reset the codes and drove the car for another 800 miles before the check engine light came on again. The car runs fine. The only notable exception is that sometimes when I'm driving on the highway in 5th gear the engine seems to slow down for a few seconds before it picks back up and it kinda jerks when it picks back up.
I climbed under the car and was able to locate the Engine Speed Sensor close to the base of the oil dipstick. I may be able to disengage the harness and get to the bolt without taking anything off. I'm wondering if replacing the Engine Speed Sensor (CKP?) would solve the P0321 or if there's anything else I should check first.
I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before or might have some wisdom they can share.
Much appreciated!

That is the crank sensor, it will keep the motor from running, as the ecu doesn't know the crank is turning when that sensor fails. For the Module coded incorrectly, use the coding helper to set it correctly. |
