yea i just got a laugh out of the "professional built just needs work, rebuilt and welds cleaned up"
so basically built by someone who was not a professional.
1st the welds suck
2nd the trans is broken
hahaha

Why not take the bug body in the background photo and mount it on the buggy frame...then you get to drive it in the rain too... _________________ Dad bought his first Beetle on Dec 17, 1953. |

Hahaha, yeah, I noticed that too. Gota give him credit for attempting to throw a marketing pitch.
The only thing redeeming about that buggy is the widened smoothies on the back. People pay good money for those, even if they are in rough shape. That is like half the value of the entire buggy right there. _________________ 1800 Type 4 Berrien 295

I really like everything about the second one. Someday I WILL have one of those old pan buggys. I love those old things! |

I like the idea of having a cage surrounding me =P haha the old school one is really cool as far as looks are concerned. I just like a little bit of safety as I have not maimed myself too terribly as of yet and I do not want to start now. |

Yea =P haha
the single unsupported bar that is between your head and the earth in any sort of oops situation is rather unnassuring. even with 4 support bars on it. 1 on each side front and back of the hoop. then it would be substantially safer. |

Really? I have a set on the back of my rail. I thought they were just poor boy and wanted to replace them with something a little better looking. Heck I may just clean them up and paint them. |
