Does anyone know if a Pertronix 1847A for a 009 will work in a 010?

I've done a quick search on here and found a Pertronix 1844 works in a 010, but i'm having real trouble getting hold of one in the UK. Which is why i wondered if the 009 unit will work?

Any help would be gratefully received

Cheers
Steve

What Glenn said. You have to get the one for an 022, I can't remember the part number but 1844 sounds right. It's a Porsche distributor, so naturally the price is twice as much.

Thanks Glenn and GTV

That's the concise answer i was looking for. I'll have to order a 1844 from your side of the pond and get it shipped here

Cheers

Not true... it has to do with they sell 10x more for 009 and for 010/019/022/BR25/BR9/BR8/BR18.

If you don't believe me, price one for 40hp Big Cap.

I suppose supply and demand does play a role.
