I've got a late 90's pre-runner with a 1835, dual 44IDF's. I'm in the process of pulling the engine and I notice the letters R.K.E. stamped on the right half.
The letter font are different than anything VW used. Anyone have any idea what they stand for? Thanks.[/img] |

Initials of the builder or shop that last rebuilt it. _________________ Glenn

Actually, Ronnie taught Kenny everything he knew and when Kenny left he still didn't know anything. |

Last I heard Kenny was head of quality control at EMPI. I think he sent that brake rotor to Atomworks |

Years ago I bought an engine and a couple of trannys out of a local salvage yard. On the engine, after cleaning, was LW stamped under the distribuator. I found out later the engine case was machined by a local shop, Luke Wagner. _________________ Grubby Fingers Racing
