Just curious to see what the general preference is. I think white letters out looks cool on trucks and vans with aggressive tires but not so much on cars or trucks/vans with low profile tires. Which do you like on Vanagons?
I know, first world problems, right? Laughing Oh well, I've never started a poll before...

Whites out rate right up there with Black wheels, naming cars and mixing Alcohol and driving .

Got me some BFGs but buddy didn't read the work order and mounted them letters-in, so I have to go back.

White letter tires I've always associated with bubba country American branded cars. Euro cars I've always associated with all black sidewalls. I say black out.

And a random tip for you on new tires. For the first day of driving, don't stop or start hard as the mounting slip solution is not dried out of the beads yet and you can cause one bead or the other to slip ever so slightly. Then the tire will have a slight tread bulge and resultant vibration forever and ever despite balances and rebalances. I learned this the hard way once. Happily, Kelley Tire Company sent out a full set of 4 under warranty and I never took a new set of tires out for a romp again. Let them dry.

Good info! This should be in the tires sticky.

White lettering looks really nice once it has been scraped up real well on curbs and rocks.

I didn't know this was something I was supposed to be pondering about. I have them in, and out , on the same vehicle, and at the same time. Silly me

Tire wear dictates!

^^^ For cvbill it really doesn't matter much. Even when they are in they are sometimes looking out/up. Wink
