For anybody wondering. My hand has finally fully healed, Although I am fighting the scar trying to dry out with the cold weather. Doc says it should turn in to a normal non flaky scar in a few months.
If anybody has a scar that does that weird flaking thing. O'keeffe's working hands. I hate lotion as much as the next guy but this stuff helps. |

Ouch. Yeah that's part of the reason my hair never gets long enough to get caught on anything. |

Ya made me think of Joe Dirt getting yanked into a generator..
WAY back.. in shop class and our first few months were shop safety.. the instructor was advising lathe safety, no jewelry, loose clothing, long hippie hair... and neck ties... ..
Me being the class smart ass... I noted and asked "When was the last time you had a manager or a hippie with neck tie on .... actually working?.."
Thinking of all that ^... no hippies could ever be in a shop..
I know I know... somewhere out there Im sure there's a Darwin award about just that...
And yes.. I'm the quick belt change guy.. .. the model of shop safety ....
Some times... most times. Safety. its just common sense...
Electrical and rings are usually the one that is easily forgotten and bites em...
When I bring out the orange safety cones in our (Auto) shop when working on a Hybrid... everyone gives my area a very wide berth...
Makes me want to keep the cones out.. even for oil changes...
And why is it..... when you are using a hand power drill.. and the bit bites... you NEVER can not let go of the trigger fast enough....?

It took some time, but I finally convinced my wife that I will not wear my wedding ring to work (carpenter) nor while working in my shop. I have seen and heard too many things about lost/burnt/mangled digits to take that risk. Never been a jewelry guy, and I can't wear a watch.
I like my fingers. _________________ nothing |

My friend tore his nose jewellery out. Trying to get off a ceased 21mm bolt and the bolt snapped. Bobs face hit the car and instead of a bleeding nose the metal jewellery sliced the nostril like the picture below.
He went to the hospital and they sewed it back together, but he looks like he has done a shed load of Coke as one nostril is smaller than the other.
Bob doesn't have piercings now. |

Ouch. That sucks.
Pretty funny about the different sized nostrils though. |

Long hair warning: the first one I remember reading about in the 'Keeping Your Volkswagen Alive' book.
Now I like to strip down naked and wax my entire body from head to toe before working on any VWs. Better safe than hair-ripped-out sorry. |

Eew, now I need to poke out my minds eye.
One nice thing about 10 karat gold is that welding spatter doesn't stick to it. _________________
