Hi my phriends!
I am planning a road trip across the country (USA) and I am looking to get info on people that would help me if and when I brake down along the way.
I know there use to be a list or something, and I am looking to get that info or start one up.
Also places to see thing to do. I am looking for cool things to see architecture and just place fun.
Thank you for all your help.

Planning a road trip, what time of year. What route.
Interstate or two lane highways.
Have a very reliable vehicle for sure. I went to Texas and back 2k miles. Stopped for fuel and over nights. No break downs. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

Hasn't been updated in a few years (I've asked several times to take it over) but still has a ton of great info and a lot of the people on there are still contactable.

Antoinette (Bugsy Malone) had foresight & contacted me in advance and asked to spend the night with us. She asked what beer I drank and I told her to bring Old Crow whiskey. We were happy to meet her and we adjusted her new clutch. She left the next morning on her way to San Francisco. She has been on the road for a couple of months now, but has the money to pay for it! http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=588159
This other girl didn't make it 1800 miles before her engine blew up!
