Custom camshaft

Has anyone had a custom camshaft made for their engine? If so, how did it benefit your project, and how much extra did it cost? Was it worth the time and trouble?

I did but it was for my 2393cc type 1,not this old stuff.I had engle do it, hydrallic roller cam. price was good, but then I sent it to comp cams to be plasma ion nitrided....that cost a tad more than the cam. so yes it's worth it if there is no shelf cam you want.

Contact this swede if you want something special. Wellknown for his JPM Raptor camshafts. For the 36hp, he need a camshaft to (re)grind. He makes the cam after what you want, and what you got in the engine.
