Food Network needs a real Chef with talent, who drives a cool looking Vanagon. Maybe pitch a road show where you hit all the best restaurants, maybe visit every Relais and Chateaux in the country by way of your van, rather than the Camaro driving Guy hitting dives?

for those who missed it and cannot see it on demand, here is a little teaser.
Our very own Aswah winning big.
Not Going to Budge-It!
It's a clash of the coupons as four chefs attempt to make their best grilled dish in Budget Battle. Next, the chefs must make a decadent breakfast while incorporating the classic peanut butter and jelly combo. The last two chefs must make a Sunday supper using One Ingredient Per Aisle. (Episode: GK0308H)

Decadent Breakfast is a short clip of Francois in action. If you have cable, you can stream the show up until the new one drops later this week. _________________ Happiness=Portland, Oregon in the rearview mirror! |

Well, of course!
If there's ANYONE used to making the best of limited supplies, low budget, and seat-of-the-pants decision making, it's a Vanagon owner!
I nominate our resident Aluminum-alloy Chef, Aswah, as the official master of the Westfalia Kitchen!
Congratulations! How proud you must feel!
Best! _________________ 'Winston,' '84 1.9 WBX Westy

I follow Aswah's travels and always manage to benefit from (imaginary) gourmet meals! Sadly he hasn't been posting much lately, must be working at his calling! Thanks Francois. _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...
