lost thread on modifying floor above tranny for storage???

I've been trying to locate a thread on a modification to the floor of the Vanagon behind the rear seat. I believe it was to clear room for a aux battery. the poster cut out the floor and utilized the area above the trans axle for this. any help would be great. I searched key words and was unsuccessful. thanks! d'oh!

Thats the one where there was a 6 page battle over the name of the thread. Looks like a descriptive title would have been better.

PDXWesty, don't you think that a more appropriate and useful response would be if you made your own thread on the subject and named it whatever you wanted?
