What formica are you using?
Did you find a match for the original? |
I used a white formica. It's a little lighter but it will work. I had to buy a 4x8foot sheet... Need any? |
I could use some.... you deliver right ? |

Great work Sean! I wish I were there to help. KP/Red Barn is not far off. You got power to that thing yet? That's more important than the holes that can be covered with plywood. The satisfaction of just having it on the road for the first time is huge... I'd start putting the power to the wheels today and put the welder down. The holes are not that big -you've seen the holes in my POS... works fine! Unless it's wet out on that weekend, I'd run that thing with plywood and WIN. Do it! Power UP! Rooting for you man!
Sean... you got TWO MONTHS! Call in help if I don't send it first! I'm watching YOU!
It's Confirmed!!
The Red Barn VW Swap Meet is ON!
SATURDAY, APRIL 16th, 2011 8am - 1pm
CAMPING AT THE BARN IS AVAILABLE FRIDAY NIGHT!
Bring out your VW parts to sell at the BIG RED BARN off highway 101 in beautiful Aromas, CA.
This is a casual VW gathering to socialize and sell some parts! Come on down... sell... buy.... swap and have a great time!!!!
It's a short drive south from San Jose (40 miles South) or up from Salinas (10 miles North)
PRICE??? Well, the Red Barn management is in charge of admission and we don't expect any changes from years past.
Expected prices* will be: Camp and/or swap - $10 Spectator/Parking - $3 *all subject to change
NOTE FOR THOSE DRIVING SOUTH ON 101 (from San Jose): Due safety changes to HWY 101, you are no longer able to make that dangerous left turn across the highway to directly access the Red Barn. Just keep going south a few more miles and exit on San Miguel Canyon Road, then follow the signs to re-enter HWY 101 NORTH! PLEASE DRIVE SAFE!
ONE FINAL NOTE: Red Barn Management has requested that we be done and off the property at 2pm. Thanks for your cooperation.
If you have any specific questions, please email us at [email protected].
SEE YOU AT THE RED BARN! |

Unfortunately gonna' miss it again this year, but at least I was home to do the Snow Trip. I just really want to help Sean make the K/P Redbarn Goal! It's a hard transition to wrap ones head around -getting a bus running and driving after it's been sitting in the garage or yard for extended periods of time -we've all been there! |
