Hey Pedro, I have a '66 that I've just decided to part out. I'm up in Ramona, only a short drive away. I'll get you some pictures tomorrow. |

This is awesome! Can't wait to see you drive up in it at the 2016 Invasion in AZ.
Welcome to the madness.
BTW, I know a couple of guys close to you that might have some parts for these cars... _________________ Later,

Having been where you are now (mine was a little more complete) I have to agree with Tram's first line. Although you'll do great, it's going to be 1 helluva learning curve, BTDT. Fortunately you've got Jack, Giz, Scott, and Lee Hedges there to help you out. So you'll do fine.
All I've really got to say is Good Luck, I'll look forward to watching it's progress.
Oh, I hope you've got a big pile of cash, as you're going to need it. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

aw, T34s practically restore themselves!
Just don't be in a hurry.
Good luck Pedro, I know you will do good and you have plenty of quality help.

I am so glad that my best friend Pedro took me up on my offer. He has been looking for one since the 2012 invasion. It will be a lot of work but I am excited to see what happens. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

Just remember what Tram, Greg, Scott, and Lee have said in the past, "get any parts you need while they're still available, because they won't be available for long". That little piece of advice will serve you well, as will Tom's advice about not being in a hurry. Remember, most T-34 restos are "long term projects", mainly due to parts availability (it's getting better though). I ran into that myself.
I don't know IF they "practically restore themselves" or not, but you're going to find out ALL the places they rust are different from a normal type 3. Even in California they rust, so don't fool yourself into thinking they don't. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

What a huge surprise, Pedro! Congratulations on your first T34!
This 1965 has some rough spots but overall should be able to restored with the help of the 1968 Coupe parts car we bought. You'll find that T34s will now show-up on your doorstep begging you to buy them. Then you'll buy another, and maybe a restored one too. Just seems to happen that way.
You know that all of us will be here to help you restore this 1965 back to whatever condition you decide to take it. Friends for life, amigo!
Here's a pic of Jack & John stopping by my place to preview the 1965 before it got back to Imperial Beach. It was great that Jack was able to retrieve both the 1965 & 1968 from Bata so that they could be rescued.
