I'm thinking of placing a bulk order for high quality adhesive vehicle wrap material to make reproduction trim stripes to go around the vanagon. I'm going to start with silver because that is the most common color. The trim stripes will look very close to stock and be far more durable. The material is repositionable so if you make a mistake aligning it, just pull it up and try again. The coolest thing about the material is that it is breathable so air bubbles are impossible. It is guaranteed to look perfect. My reproduction stripe will easily cover your old stripe, or replace a missing stripe. It's a great way to spruce up the old van. I would need to sell the set for $45.

Anyone interested?

A little splash of trim makes a difference.

It's no more reflective than the original stuff. It's s silver metallic with matte finish much like the original. The only reflective tape on the market today is WAY TOO reflective.

Thanks!

You can buy the body stripe material from any 3-M body shop paint supplier--in any color or width you want.--all locally.

This isn't anything new.

Sorry for the delay. I have been caught up with other projects. I will have these strips available shortly. Mine will be cut to size, unlike 3M distributors that sell this product in sheets. They will be ready to install.

No Sir.
You are incorrect.
3-M has rolls of any size, width, color striping tape available.

Does not come in "Sheets" as you announced.

It is all available at any Body shop supply house--locally, and will outlast any other striping material available, as all 3-M products are--being of very high industrial quality-

3-M sets the industry standards which others try and follow.

Try the 3-M company directory of product availability if you're attached to your computer only.

Now if you want instant answers, I'd take a ride to any local body shop supply house and take a look at their 3-M stripe book with an example of everything that they have available--with the pricing.

This would be the fastest way of getting your questions answered.

So does that make Terry incorrect????
Buy your bulk and have it cut on a plotter, I would suggest removing the old stripe before installing the new.
And install it in the shade with the van surface temp cool or it WILL bubble

3M has just as TK says.
The stripes and clear protective coverings are available die cut.
I purchased the 3M program to make the templates for the die cutting and have had clear nose sections made for after paint.
Not cheap, nor should them be direct from 3M.
This is the same product that comes stand on the nose and hood of Porches.

Contact 3M as they have an amazing amount of products offered.
I have an account with them and see far more on my account Site than on the regular Site.

I'll say this;

Anything 3-M does, or has, pay attention.
They are the leader's in the automotive & industrial product field--bar none.
The rest of the competition are just tag alongs, also rans.

If 3-M doesn't have it , you didn't need it in the first place.
