So, a big part (type 3 rear apron) got sent off to me.
The guy who sent it is a reputable sort of chap,
Who has been on these forums for a long time.
The stuff was sent DHL,
but,
After a few days being tracked until it's out of Germany,
It all kind of goes to the 'dark side of the moon' as it travels overseas...
So 30 days later, I'm starting to kind of trip out....
Is 30 days enough for a big package from Europe?
Should i have started tripping earlier?
Did this before, but never 30 days...
How long does this stuff take?
Thanks for any experience to share. _________________ Bus Motor Build

My car took 5 weeks from the UK to Canada.
Later I ordered some parts from the UK, and they sat in customs (UK export) for almost 2 weeks. I think there was some heightened security stuff going on at that time.
If you have a tracking number, and it shows something like 'in transit', be patient as it can take a while to cross the ocean. Once it reaches US customs the tracking should say something 'in customs clearance'. While it's in transit, no one will scan the package so it will appear to be in a black hole. |

I recently ordered an exhaust system from CSP in Germany. It took 12 days to arrive at my house in Western Canada via DHL and Canada Post. Ordered some carburetor parts last year and they took 10 days to arrive from Germany.
Maybe US customs or USPS is holding up the process? _________________ Neil.

You need to call DHL with the waybill # and have them track it down. They recycle their numbers after 60 or 90 days and it will become extremely difficult to find it after that happens. |
