I just picked my 1st sand rail, i believe it has a 1600cc motor and bus trany, not sure who made the frame, i live near pismo beach and would like to make this street legal so i can drive 10 miles to the dunes. need new throttle cable and steering joint at the steering box end, and should be good to test run, plan on reskinning the outside and upgrading suspension and cleaning up motor. Any of you know this frame

Hi,
Welcome to the Samba.
Your buggy frame may have been built by someone and could be the one and only of its kind.
Just the one picture really does not show the complete way the frame is made.
Looking at the seat area and not seeing any diagonal braces from bottom to top frame rail like what you are seeing in front part of frame. On most manufacturer frames you will see the diagonal bracing by the seating area.
The Samba has many advertisers that sell part new and used. Check the classifieds too.
You will have more responses if you post in the HBB Off Road section.
Contact a moderator to see if you can move this thread or just start a new thread in the off road section. If you don't ask first one or the other may end up getting locked.
