One of the cool aspects about the Manx Club is that any Fiberglass based buggy, Buro, Sportster and Dune Buggy like Vehicles are welcome, (any many other benefits too).

At Manx Club sponsored events you may see all kinds of different buggy variations all mixed in and people laughing and having fun. Bruce Meyers will be walking around identifying the different models and telling some history of them and talking about driving them. There are so many different body styles, flips, wings, foils, bumps, scoops, ducts, curves and contours, pockets, swoops, flares and anything a mold maker could think of to make "his body" stand out. My guess is a little over half of he designs are known and identified. Some even trick names, like Spoiler, Digger, Sandwinder, Max, Manx, Daytona, Viper, and the list could go on for pages.

Some of the buggy's even had their names on them proudly displayed with Badges, Decals, Emblems and cast into the Fiberglass. While I was at the recent MOTB '14, (Manx On The Banx) in Nags Head NC, I relaxed more this year than the years before and started enjoying other people's buggy's more.

So, I took a lot of pictures and this thread is for those buggy name plates. Some match, some do not, some are made up, and some are left overs. But, all were cool to see and enjoy.

So, post up pictures of your name plates, internal cast in business cards, identifying monarchs of your buggy and those you have seen. (Please not pictures of the whole buggy, just the name plaques, badges, stickers and decals, even if it is your named buggy)

Cool post. My unidentified buggy has the basic Wolfburg emblem where the builder's crest might have gone.

Anybody have any idea what emblem should be there?

Joe - that "Manxter S" decal on the back of Kathleen's Manxter is "unofficial". When Bruce built the 1st 2 Manxter's with Subaru engines, he was looking for a way to differentiate them, so it came up as "Manxter S" for Subaru powered. We made the decal ourselves. Technically, her car could be a "Manxter S2" for the S2 Mendeola chassis under it. Tom

I would offer that this is a close but different discussion than the other thread, with better pictures.

My Rascal hood has that trim ridge down the middle which kind of takes up the space for a good hood badge, although on another thread years ago someone was considering repopping the Sears badges.

When I looked at the originals they looked EXACTLY like the badge I had on my old Kenmore fridge, so I figured if I ever decided I needed one I could find one at the dump attached to the door of an old fridge!

Ken, Thanks for linking that thread into this one! I forgot the other thread existed, but this one is more for photo's of home made to factory made names, plaques, badges, decals and what not.

Cool story Tom! I wondered, but easily forgot to ask you or Kathleen about it.

wythac, I too thought about placing a badge on the front of my Rascal, but time escaped. If you look above, the red buggy with the VW emblem on it is a Sears Rascal that was at MOTB '14.

Here is a rare one:

If I am not mistaken, none of the resorters had that badge on them. that is from some type of boat or something. Marc Frizzicaro mentioned something about that I think.

It looks like the metal Resorter emblems may be the ones from the boats.

The Deserters had a Autodynamics badge and a Deserter script as well. I don't think I have any pics.

That is possible. Maybe a front plate off of the buckle frame. Cool looking and a nice wall hanger.
