Hello, first post here. Hope someone here will be able to help.

I recently stumbled upon this vintage Hella spotlight with a mirror on the back of it. Ebay and other various sources say that its worth decent money.

How much should i sell for?

Hello. These where made for many cars by Hella, with a specific mounting divice for each car, these can be found on VW:s, Mercedes and other from Germany.

The ones made for bug, had a smaller mirror and the ones made for ambulance/bus had a bigger mirror.

Your lamp have the bigger mirror and it has a painted housing, perfect to paint white...for an ambulance. Smile

The bulb is not of the accurate model, it should have a black top on the bulb, forceing the light to the sides into the reflector. Same kind of bulbs that was used in the Helphos suction lights.

I think a proper value should be something like $500-700.

Hi and thank you for the insight, i also saw this spotlight used on BMW motorcycles Smile

I was thinking something along that price and your comment about the bulb makes perfect sense. I found a NOS spotlight selling for £594 and some on ebay for more than double of that..

I don't know if you are making a joke or not but this is true... And most or all? of the "VW spotlight mirrors" you see are actually motorcycle parts.

I have got NOS black top bulbs if you like to have the right bulb for it. They are of the brand "OSRAM" and are 12 Volt 35 Watt.

Try looking at the ones on ebay lol...

I did some research and the value has been steadily increasing and i believe it will keep on doing so. Already got some decent offers but i will not sell for less than $500.
Did you find any for sale for less than $500? I think mine is the cheapest one for sale in europe as i type this. Correct me if im wrong Smile
