After some advice on how to fix the connections tabs on the back of the fuel gauge? Thought I would ask rather than mess it up any more.

I was swapping out my cracked dash for a nice one, and managed to break 2 of the tabs on the rear of the fuel gauge when removing the wire connections. Broke away on the riveted bit.

Would solder be strong enough and work or better to use a small screw to re-connect?

What have others done (other than not break the tabs in the first place) Wink

I've simply swapped out the back plastic bit for another non-broken one.

The tabs are riveted in place, IIRC, so if you don't have another one, you could fix it.

thanks

Will try and repair with a small screw or maybe try to solder.

Failing that then I will look out for a replacement back.
