The wiring to the fuel pump runs from the fuel pump relay (above the coil)
across the fire wall in the engine compartment, then thru the firewall
up to the fuel pump. There is a connection right in front of the air filter.

I am confused. The fuel pump is on the opposite side of the air filter and the same side of the fuel pump relay. Think

Crap....forget that.... I forgot you have a Syncro....that is a two wheel drive..

Syncro ground for the fuel pump is right under the coil along with several other ground. This is another point of problems..

Had some time to play before dinner so.....
I can power the pump directly feeding 12V through 87 on the right relay harness. The left relay powers up but.....
With the key turned on and not cranking the pump terminal 87 does not have 12 volts.
Cranking the engine while feeding 87 12 volts directly still does not start the car.
Happy Thanksgiving Exclamation

Do u have a tac? If so when cranking eng tac should move slightly meaning hall sect & ecu has pwr, pull off one side of injectors hold up to a piece of cardboard, have someone crank, u should have spray to both, none, wiring to them (?). At this point my old standby is a quick shot of starting fluid, tries to run a definate fuel problem.this my 1st test 4 a non start, determine which area the problem.

No movement on the tach while cranking and no action from the pump when I turn the key on.
The tach does blip slightly when I turn the key off though.
I'm starting to think it's the ECU. Evil or Very Mad

Alrighty then.
Turn key, left relay clicks and powers #87.
Nothing on the right relay and no pump noise.
Crank engine:
No spark at the plugs.
No voltage at the injectors. Volt meter mounted across the 2 female pins on the yellow harness.
I hit the trifecta!
Everything looks good behind the fuse panel.
It has a clifford alarm but the tech told me that it only kills the starter circuit so it the engine cranks the alarm is not the issue.
I feel like just ripping it out anyway.
Whatever powers the fuel pump relay powers the hall sensor for spark and injector firing?
Hmmmmm
