Hi Fellas, I have a 1970 Squareback. I'm having transmission issues. The car is a manual transmission. The car shifts into all gears fine like they normally should with ease and no popping out of gear. the problem is that the car will not move or start rolling when in 1st and 2nd Gear but will start to roll / move forward / excellarate when its in 3rd and 4th.

If anyone of you VW Ninjas would be kind enough to share your thoughts with me on what may be the problem I would be most grateful.

I did check the cupling and it doesn't look worm or damaged.

Let me know fellas.

With Respect,

Oceanside CA ( SouthO Cassidy St Locals)

Pop your two rear hub caps off and have somebody observe and tell you if an axle nut is spinning when you try to drive off.

Sounds like you've spun the splines out of a drum hub.
