Looks like they're pretty inefficient, similar to the smaller format "flexible" panels. Not a big a deal when you have a gigantic roof, but may be problematic on a Vanagon.
Agreed though - this is one area that will be really fun to see what happens in the next 5-10 years... _________________ 1986 Weekender "Birch" |

Another useless Brainfart
I can understand the usefulness of this type technology for large flat roofs etc.
Butt-tttttttttt
Just how would you mount it to a Westy Top.. Guess cut a hole in the middle of the cloth for the skylight etc. Ohooo and don't forget to try to re-solder the micro wiring connectors together so the rest of the solar cells can generate a charge.. Not to mention the lower channels of the fiberglass poptop so this idea would have to be almost form fitted. _________________ Fast Cars, and Slow Women Makes me DrooL. |
